The LS5700 is an easy to use, 'on counter' scanner. It's made by Symbol Technologies, the World's leading maker of laser barcode readers. This scanner is quite unique — it's been part of Symbols range for more than 5 years - in the world of barcoding this is very rare. The reason it's been so popular is its simple, functional design. It combines a wide, 'omni-directional' laser scanner (this means it reads barcodes from virtually any angle), it’s size makes it suitable for all but the smallest counter and it’s easy to use, so much so there’s nothing for the operator to think about – the result – higher productivity. Like it’s in-counter sister product, the LS5700 can read from contact to 20cm, so items don’t have to be lifted.
Used mostly in retail settings, we’ve sold these to warehouses – where the hands-free ease of use came into its own.
