How do I get a Barcode?
If you intend to sell your products through the retail system in the UK or Europe you will need to use a standard format barcode called an EAN13 or perhaps EAN8 (for very small product sizes). In either case you must register your company with the controlling body, called GS1UK, who will give you a registration number which will form part of any barcode that you use. Additional numbers required to make up the complete code are available for you to use as you wish, to represent any identification number system you may have set up. Once you have your numbers sorted, out we can provide barcodes as digital files for inserting into packaging artwork for example or we can print them for you on labels, tags etc, or supply you with the means to print your own. Just give us a call to discuss the best option to suit you. If you need barcodes for other general purpose control or identification work you may use any one of a number of different types, but you will need software to generate the barcode from the numbers or characters you wish to use. How do barcodes work?
Barcodes are simply a computer generated format of a sequence of numbers, or characters, or both, which when scanned automatically with a suitable device will be decoded into the original number/character sequence for direct input into a computer application. So the barcode is simply an image representing a sequence of numbers allowing automatic recording and entry. There are several different forms or symbologies used depending on the application and the industry concerned. Please call us for more detailed information on specific queries.
How can I add a new printer to my PC?
If you have a new label printer attached to your PC but you have not been able to install a printer driver to enable you to use it β we can provide you with the appropriate driver and advise how to install it. Please give us a call 01359 271111
How can I pay?
You can pay by credit card or debit card through our website. We use Protx to process your transaction. Your order will be processed as soon as we receive confirmation of your payment.
Can I pay by Cheque?
Yes. We accept cheques from UK customers only. Your order will normally be processed as soon as we have received cleared funds β normally 5 working days.
Can I open a Trade Account?
Yes. For business customers this is not normally a problem. Please contact us on 01359 271111 to discuss your requirements. We may ask you to give us Trade Referees prior to opening an account with us. Account opening and credit limit subject to status.
What is your refund and returns policy?
We want you to be happy with your purchase so if the goods we have sent are faulty please contact us and we will replace them.

Can you deliver outside the UK?
Yes. Please contact us on 01359 271111 for delivery charges to other countries.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
No. Because of the large range of products we offer it is not possible for us to keep our prices low and maintain a retail outlet. If, however, you are looking for a particular barcode related item that we do not have in our online shop please contact us and we may well be able to help you.

How long does your standard delivery take?
Normally we aim to despatch customer orders within 2 working days. You should expect delivery within 4 working days. If, for any reason, there is a delay with your order we will keep you informed. The main exception to this is bespoke printed labels and bespoke software β but please be assured we will always let you know the status with your order.
